About Sifon Bassey
Sifon Bassey is a Nigerian Administrative and Accounts Professional, UI/UX Designer, Virtual Assistant, technology educator and mentor with experience spanning administration, finance, digital design, communication, student support and technology education.
She is a member of the team at Mita School, a technology training institution in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where she contributes across administration, accounts, student coordination, communication, UI/UX design and technology education.
Her work brings together organisation, creativity, communication and people-focused problem solving. From managing administrative and financial records to responding to enquiries, supporting students, teaching UI/UX design and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the school, Sifon plays a versatile role within the Mita School team.
Administration and Accounts
At Mita School, Sifon is actively involved in the administrative and financial operations of the organisation.
Her responsibilities include maintaining student records, tracking school income and expenses, preparing financial reports, monitoring payments and balances, managing receipts and refunds, following up on outstanding fees, supporting salary and staff records, and assisting with the day-to-day coordination of the school.
She also supports administrative processes involving students, tutors and staff, including programme documentation, student onboarding, acceptance letters, IT and SIWES-related administration, and other operational activities.
Through this experience, she has developed strong organisational skills, attention to detail and an interest in creating systems and processes that make everyday operations more efficient.
Virtual Assistance, Communication and Student Support
Sifon also serves as part of the communication link between Mita School and its students, prospective students and members of the public.
She manages and responds to enquiries received through the school’s WhatsApp contact channels, providing information about courses, schedules, fees, requirements and other school-related enquiries.
Her role involves communicating with people at different stages of their interaction with the school, from prospective students making their first enquiry to existing students seeking assistance or clarification.
This has strengthened her communication, customer service, organisation and follow-up skills, while giving her practical experience in virtual assistance and client support.
She understands the importance of responding professionally, providing accurate information and ensuring that people receive the support they need in a timely and friendly manner.
UI/UX Design
Alongside her administrative and accounts responsibilities, Sifon is a UI/UX Designer with a strong interest in creating digital experiences that are simple, useful and user-focused.
Her approach to design goes beyond making interfaces visually appealing. She is interested in understanding users, identifying their needs, structuring information clearly and creating experiences that are easy to navigate and understand.
Her design process includes user research, user flows, wireframing, visual design, prototyping, usability and interface design. She works primarily with Figma and has developed practical design projects across different areas, including real estate, food, fashion, lifestyle and digital services.
Her design journey continues to grow through personal projects, teaching and practical problem solving.
Technology Education and Mentorship
Sifon is also involved in technology education and student mentorship at Mita School.
As a UI/UX instructor and mentor, she helps beginners understand the foundations of user interface and user experience design, guiding students from basic concepts to practical design exercises and projects.
Her teaching approach focuses on making technology easier to understand, especially for beginners who may feel intimidated by technical subjects.
She also supervises IT students during their industrial training, providing guidance on their learning activities, documentation and practical exposure.
For Sifon, teaching is not only about passing information across. She believes students learn better when they can connect what they are learning to practical situations and real-world problems.
A Creative and Organised Professional
One of Sifon’s strengths is her ability to work across both creative and structured environments.
Her administrative and accounts responsibilities require accuracy, organisation and attention to detail, while her work in UI/UX requires creativity, empathy and problem solving. Her communication and virtual assistance responsibilities also require patience, clarity and strong interpersonal skills.
This combination has shaped the way she approaches her work. She enjoys creating organised systems, improving processes, communicating ideas clearly and finding practical solutions to problems.
She is also passionate about personal development and helping people become more confident in their abilities, particularly young people exploring technology and creative careers.
Professional Growth and Vision
Sifon continues to develop her skills across technology, design, administration, communication and professional development.
Her goal is to build a career that combines technology, creativity, education and organisational impact, while continuously learning and creating opportunities for others to grow.
Through her work at Mita School, she is committed to contributing to an environment where students can gain practical skills, discover their strengths and develop the confidence to pursue opportunities in the technology space.
For Sifon, technology is not simply about tools or software. It is about people, problem solving, creativity and creating solutions that make a meaningful difference.
